Mary Sangster (formerly Hansen) grew up with Immaculate Conception as her second home. As a child, she helped her parents with their ministries such as singing in the choir or being a Eucharistic Minister, and has continued that spirit of ministry and service through her life. After a few years living in Salem and Keizer after getting married, Mary bought and moved into her childhood home here in Stayton, along with her husband, Patrick, and four beautiful children (three of whom attend Regis St. Mary as she did).

When not working on Youth Ministry for the Church, Mary enjoys sewing, reading, and making things in just about any medium from embroidery to building a playhouse! She also loves a good debate, discussing issues of all kinds and digging into researching a topic to figure out the "why" behind things. Mary has always felt a deep love for Our Lady, and her most frequent prayer is the Hail Mary, both through trying to say a rosary each day as well as resorting to the prayer to calm and refocus when children or other stressors get to be too much.
