Parish Envelopes

Envelopes are provided for our parishioners to help support the parish. Numbered envelopes are mailed in 3-month intervals. Parishioners are encouraged to use numbered envelopes for their contributions. This helps with financial accountability and enables a statement to be prepared which is sent to each donor for tax purposes.

If you wish to help support the parish on a regular basis, you may contact the Parish Office (503-769-2656) to obtain your set of envelopes.

Thank you for your generous support!

Wills & Estates

We are stewards or caretakers of all that God has given us. As Christian stewards, we can use our Will as one means of expressing our grateful recognition of those gifts and the unconditional love God has shown us throughout our lives. A Will is a way to return that love to our family and friends and to the Church that has nurtured us in many ways.

When making a bequest to Immaculate Conception Church or the Archdiocese of Portland, be sure to include the full, legal, Oregon non-profit incorporated name: "Immaculate Conception Church, Stayton, Oregon" or "Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon". Once you have stated the incorporated name, you may state the actual distribution of your charitable bequest to be restricted to your parish, school, Archdiocese, and anything you wish to be designated.

Please contact the Parish Office (503-769-2656) for additional information or attend area Archdiocesan workshops on writing a Will.

St. Mary Cemetery

St. Mary Cemetery, located between North Third and Sixth Avenues along Regis Street, serves the Catholic people of the Stayton area.

The word cemetery means "resting place". It is in the Catholic cemetery that the Church receives her dead for safekeeping until the day of the Resurrection of the Lord. The Church teaches that the body, as the living temple of the Holy Spirit in life, will be reunited one day to the soul in immortality.

Just as you make plans for the future of your spouse and/or family by obtaining life insurance and writing a will, you need to plan for that day when you leave this life. Today you can choose your burial site when it is a family decision, well considered and made at leisure. Whatever your arrangements, you can take care of easing your family's burden later.

Arrangements for the purchase of a burial or cremation plot can be made by contacting the Parish Office.

Families who have lost a loved one should contact the parish priest (503-769-2656) as soon as possible to arrange for funeral services.

Catholic Education

Regis St. Mary Catholic School is a small, faith-based PreK-12 school that enjoys an excellent reputation throughout the state in academics, service, athletics and extracurricular activities. Fr. Francis Sherbring and the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon opened the St. Mary Campus in 1929. The Regis Campus was founded in 1963 by a group of determined community members.

As the state’s only rural Catholic PreK-12 school, it reflects the values of a committed and caring community. In a recent survey, parents indicated the top three reasons they chose Regis St. Mary were faith-based education, small and caring community and rigorous academic curriculum.
